Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. All roles are paid positions, including internships, ensuring fair compensation for your efforts.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure guest satisfaction by attending to their needs promptly and courteously
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and process transactions efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and surrounding areas
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be advantageous
- Ability to demonstrate excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
