Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit General Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of outdoor tasks, supporting construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in horticulture, gardening, and construction while contributing to diverse projects across different sites. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment as well as providing the potential for a future full-time role.
Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, and turf care
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively
- Supporting construction activities such as digging, lifting, and material handling
- Using excavators and irrigation systems for site preparation and maintenance tasks
- Performing general maintenance duties around sites, including cleaning and minor repairs
- Assisting with the setup and dismantling of work areas
- Ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed during daily operations
- Supporting team members with various labouring tasks as required to meet project deadlines
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, hand tools, or construction equipment is advantageous
- Experience operating excavators or irrigation systems is a plus but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of horticulture or gardening techniques will be beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
- Strong team player with good organisational skills and attention to safety standards
