Carpenter – Fire Door Installation & Remedials
£40,000 to £50,000 per year / £160 - £220 per day

About the Role
Pioneer Site Services is expanding — and we’re looking for skilled and motivated Fire Door Installation Carpenters to join our growing compliance and maintenance team.
This role is focused on the installation of new FD30/FD60 fire door sets across domestic and communal buildings, alongside delivering high-quality remedial works where required. You’ll ensure every installation is fully compliant with the latest fire safety legislation and third-party accreditation standards.
Working across social housing contracts across London and Essex, you’ll be part of a trusted, accredited team helping protect homes and communities through robust, safety-critical workmanship.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install complete FD30/FD60 fire door sets to third-party accreditation standards (FIRAS / BM TRADA).
- Carry out fire door remedial works including adjustments, ironmongery replacement, seals, hinges, closers, and frame repairs.
- Ensure every install meets stringent fire safety, building control, and manufacturer specifications.
- Record all works accurately using company software (photos, measurements, checklists).
- Communicate clearly with the office team regarding progress, variations, and material needs.
- Manage your schedule independently to meet daily and weekly programme targets.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience installing fire doors (upgrading and remedials experience also beneficial).
- Strong knowledge of compliant fire door installation requirements.
- Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working under a third-party accreditation scheme (FIRAS / BM TRADA) highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London, Essex and surrounding counties.
- Additional experience in general carpentry, joinery or building maintenance is an advantage.

- Competitive pay: £40,000 – £50,000 per year / £160–£200 per day (depending on experience and engagement type)
