Main Duties:
- Assist with the day-to-day efficient running of the service operations, reporting directly to the Service Manager.
- Ensure we meet the high standards our customers expect, by managing and mentoring workshop / field service staff.
- Offer technical support to staff and customers.
- Communicate with manufacturers to improve product quality and reliability.
- Carry out service and repair tasks as required.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in mechanics/diagnostics of machinery is essential, preferably from working for a main dealer or manufacturer.
- Ability to diagnose and advise on problems over the phone or using remote diagnostics.
- Understanding of modern vehicle engine emission systems and canbus systems would be an advantage, as would hydraulic and hydrostatic systems diagnostics.
- Ability to work effectively and motivate / manage a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A problem-solving nature with an eye for accuracy and detail.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Willingness to work harvest hours and out of season hours as required is essential.
- Good understanding of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
