Learning Support Assistant – Brent - September 2026
A Brent Primary School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team to support KS1 and KS2 students. This is a term time only role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm. SEN experience is required.

About the role:
The Inclusion department are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide outstanding learning and behavioural support for students in KS1 and KS2. The successful applicant will be responsible providing specialised 1:1 and small group learning sessions. Applicants will maintain high levels of health and safety ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of students are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Support children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and disabilities, within classroom settings
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational activities and programmes
- Provide one-to-one support to children requiring additional help, including toddlers and young learners
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and confidence
- Help implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Support children during break times, lunch periods, and organised activities
- Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers, and parents to ensure consistent support
- Assist in organising classroom resources and learning materials to optimise educational delivery
Key Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working with young adults or children
- A motivated and enthusiastic worker
- An adaptable disposition to working
