Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, professional and reliable decking installer to join our business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our team, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest of standards. We are approved installers for leading manufacturers in the UK, working with their premium products, so the quality of our work is extremely important to us. We are looking for someone that is motivated, has a professional manner, thinks outside the box and has good attention to detail.
This role requires a minimum of 3 years experience as an installer using a range of materials such as composite, timber and metal.
Most of our work is in Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey so the ideal candidate must be prepared to travel to the surrounding counties from our base in Waterlooville. All vehicles are provided to and from our base.
Fuel, tools, PPE and branded uniform are also provided.
Please note - we work in all weather conditions unless it is not safe to do so.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install decking according to project specifications
- Read and interpret manufacturer installation guides, plans and drawings
- Measure and cut materials accurately using hand and power tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation and provide solutions
- Conduct quality checks at all times to ensure high standards
- Communicate progress and any issues/delays to the Manager
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
Skills:
- Previous experience as an Installer (minimum 3 years)
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
