Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Digger Driver to operate heavy machinery, specialising in excavators, on various construction and landscaping projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for manoeuvring and operating diggers efficiently and safely, ensuring the smooth progression of site activities. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery with precision and care, following site plans and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist with site preparation, including digging trenches, foundations, or landscaping features as required.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any equipment issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence with relevant endorsements for operating heavy machinery.
- Proven experience in operating excavators or similar heavy equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on diggers.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within construction environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.

Pay: £16.00-£24.00 per hour
