Field Based Electrician – Print Finishing Equipment

£43,000 - £46,000 Basic + Overtime + Company Car + Laptop + Enhanced Pension
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled Field Based Electrician to join a well-established and highly respected supplier of print finishing equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer or qualified electrician looking to move into a specialist field service role, working with a wide range of automated print finishing and mailing equipment across the UK.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Installation and commissioning of print finishing equipment
- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
- Breakdown response and repair work
- Working with customers to minimise downtime and maximise equipment performance
- Providing technical support and training where required
Equipment includes a range of:
- Folding machinery
- Laminating systems
- Binding equipment
- Guillotines and cutting systems
- Stitching and finishing machinery
This is a field-based role covering customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays as required.
About You
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- 18th Edition desirable
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working within manufacturing, production, print, packaging, automation or machinery environments
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Previous experience working on print finishing equipment would be advantageous; however, full product training will be provided for the right candidate.
We are particularly interested in speaking with electrically qualified engineers and electricians from the print, packaging, FMCG, manufacturing, automation, materials handling, or other transferable machinery-based industries who have strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
