exciting new opportunity for a Litho assistant with the opportunity for the right person to join a print apprenticeship.

Summary
Effective daily managing of paper for the Litho Department, to mind the press and assist the Litho Printers in the efficient running of the presses. To have the opportunity to be trained in house as a Litho printer
Job Responsibilities
- To load paper onto printing presses.
- Moving pallets of paper.
- Handling large amounts of paper.
- To assist in the operation and running of litho equipment.
- To monitor all inks and consumables of the presses in the Litho Department.
- Removing waste paper.
- To be responsible for keeping work areas and printing processes in a clean and tidy state.
- To operate effectively across a double day shift position.
- Effective communication across the department.
- Establish and maintain best working practices.
- To ensure that quality and environmental standards are adhered to, working with KPI’s and meeting targets.
- Observe and comply with company Health and Safety policy and be knowledgeable with regards to all Elanders policies and procedures relating to the Litho Department.
- Perform any other tasks as directed by the Litho Team Leaders and Printers.
Experience / Skills / Person Specification
- Experience of working within the Litho Department.
- Paper handling skills
- Independent working and working as part of a team
- Organisation skills
- Time management - Must be able to work to deadlines.
- Conduct best and most efficient working practices.
- Follow instruction and supervision.
- This role involves many tasks and suits an individual capable of forward thinking and multi-tasking.
