Day Nurse – Immediate Start (Within 4 Weeks)
Location: Birmingham, Kings Heath
Rate: £19 per hour (unpaid breaks)
We are seeking an outstanding Day Nurse to help ensure smooth, safe, and efficient day shifts in our nursing home. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team and make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
Training & Development:
We work closely with Walsall College to offer staff a wide range of funded qualifications and specialist training, including:
- Level 2, 3, 4, and 5 Diplomas
- Boot camp training in areas such as wound care and PEG care
Requirements:
- A valid and clear NMC PIN
- Genuine interest in working within the care home sector
- Satisfactory DBS check.
- Previous supervisory experience in a care home (beneficial but not essential)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high standards of nursing care, including medication rounds, wound care, PEG feeds, and catheter care
- Communicate effectively at all levels and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Support, lead, and work alongside the care team when needed
- Update and evaluate care plans in line with residents’ needs
- Work a varied shift pattern in line with service requirements
- Previous experience with PCS is advantageous but not essential
