Peripatetic Care Home Manager - 85k plus 5k car allowance
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Home Manager seeking a new challenge, to work across our portfolio of Care Homes in Essex. Excelcare are family owned, established for over 34 years and operate 11 homes across Essex - 6 of which are nursing.
We are a progressive care provider with clear vision, strong leadership and ambitious growth and change plans which includes forthcoming rebuilds and new builds within the region. You would be reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director and be supported by an established Regional Team including L & D, Quality Improvement, Sales & Marketing, Recruitment and the Home Managers.
As Peripatetic Home Manager across our Essex region you should have a great track record of managing services recognised by the CQC as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' and be able to provide immediate leadership to services within the portfolio in the absence of a Home Manager.
About the Peripatetic Home Manager role:
Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the home to ensure high-quality care delivery, compliance with regulatory requirements, and a positive, person-centred culture
You will provide direction, leadership, training and support to the teams, ensuring that the care provided meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, while maintaining high standards of safety, dignity, and respect
To fully comply and be accountable for meeting the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009
Work to and continue to embed all company policies and procedures along with regulatory and legislative procedures
Support the sales & marketing strategy of the home ensuring maximum occupancy and work within budgets to ensure profitability
About you:
Experience in implementing sustainable improvements within a care or nursing home setting as a Home Manager (3 years)
Knowledge or experience of CQC's single assessment framework and current practice of inspections
Proven track record in turning around homes, improving services and leaving sustainable change
Ability to build strong and effective teams
Excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders
Passionate about the provision of first-class care and nursing practice
Budgetary management
Level 5 qualification or equivalent with 3 years management experience
Nurse PIN desirable but not essential
Flexible to travel across the region
Driving licence and own car
