We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team to provide a high quality of care and support for children and young people within our residential and home. Residential Support Workers will need to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, cultural and educational needs of the children and young people.
Residential Support Workers will act as a key worker and become a positive role model who is able to offer advice, guidance and assistance to our Children and Young People.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children and young people
- Is 21 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations)
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in childcare / CYPW Diploma or equivalent
- Have the ability to work with and support staff working with children young people who have been traumatised by abuse, neglect and harm.
- Preferably have knowledge of Child Protection issues and relevant legislation
- Preferably have knowledge of child adolescent development, the impact of separation and loss, physical, sexual and emotional abuse and difficult behaviours that arise from this abuse
- Provide support to our children and young people to meet Ofsted regulations relating to Health and Wellbeing and Education
- Provide compassionate care and support to children in the home, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
- Engage children in recreational and educational activities to promote development.
- Be computer literate and able to write up detailed reports
- Have a calm, welcoming and non-judgmental attitude, presenting compassion and empathy towards our residents.
- Hold a valid Driving License however this is not essential for the role

Qualified rate payable for individuals who currently hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential or NVQ Level 4 Children and Young People.
