Are you a highly organized and personable professional who takes pride in being the "face and pulse" of a school community? Wayman Education is seeking a dedicated Attendance & Admissions Officer for a full-time, permanent position based entirely on-site at a prestigious independent school in Salisbury. This role is available for an immediate start.
The Role:
This is a pivotal role that requires a consistent, physical presence at the heart of the school. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective families embarking on their admissions journey, while simultaneously overseeing the daily attendance and safeguarding of current pupils.
- The Admissions Journey: You will guide new families through every step of the enrollment process—from the first inquiry to the first day of school. Your role is to provide a warm, professional, and informative experience for parents during on-site visits and tours.
- Daily Attendance & Safeguarding: Your physical presence in the school office is essential for monitoring daily registers. You will ensure every student is accounted for, maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and statutory compliance.
- The School Hub: Working directly alongside the Headteacher and Marketing team, you will serve as a central coordinator, ensuring that the administrative engine of the school runs smoothly throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Person Admissions: Managing the full admissions pipeline, including coordinating entrance assessments and hosting on-site "Discovery Days" or open mornings for prospective families.
- Rigorous Attendance Monitoring: Overseeing live attendance data, identifying absence patterns, and communicating directly with parents to ensure student safety and engagement.
- Front-of-House Excellence: Providing a professional and welcoming reception for visitors, parents, and pupils, ensuring all inquiries are handled with care and efficiency.
- Data Management & Compliance: Maintaining accurate, up-to-the-minute student records on school systems (e.g., iSAMS or SIMS) in strict accordance with GDPR and ISI/Ofsted requirements.
- Reporting: Delivering timely attendance and admissions reports to the Senior Leadership Team to help inform school-wide strategy.
