A well‑established contractor is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support delivery of an External Wall Insulation (EWI) programme across a mix of residential and public‑sector schemes across South Wales & South West. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their site‑management career on a high‑profile energy‑efficiency scheme.
The Role
Working closely with the Site Manager, you’ll help coordinate day‑to‑day operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. EWI experience is preferred but not essential - candidates with refurbishment, externals or fabric‑upgrade experience will be fully supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily site operations across an active EWI programme
- Coordinate trades, deliveries and site logistics
- Assist with H&S compliance, RAMS reviews, inductions and toolbox talks
- Monitor quality, progress and workmanship, escalating issues where needed
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and updates
- Engage professionally with building users, stakeholders and project partners
- Work closely with subcontractors to keep the programme on track
About You
- Experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar
- Background in refurbishment, externals, cladding, fabric upgrades or general construction
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach
- Confident communicator with good stakeholder‑management skills
- CSCS/SMSTS preferred
- Full UK driving licence
