Job Title Commercial Manager and Events coordinator
Reporting To Owners / head office Location Dedicated Sales Office (Hotel-Based)
Role Overview responsible for driving all hotel revenue generation activity, including weddings, conferences, meetings, corporate accounts, and lead generation channels. This is a commercially focused, office-based role responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed business and growing the hotel’s external market presence. The role is to ensure strong alignment between sales activity and operational delivery
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Generation
- Drive sales across weddings, conferences, meetings, and private events
- Proactively generate new business through outreach and networking
- Manage corporate accounts and repeat business
- Conduct venue show-rounds and client meetings
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
Enquiry Management (Opera PMS – Essential)
- Manage all event enquiries through Opera PMS
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts
- Maintain accurate diary management and pipeline tracking
- Ensure timely follow-up and conversion of leads
- Maintain full CRM accuracy and reporting discipline
Lead Generation Channels
- Manage Tagvenue and other venue directory platforms
- Maintain coach tour operator relationships (group bookings)
- Support GDS optimisation activities
- Assist with lead generation performance across digital platforms
Marketing & Digital
- Run Google Ads campaigns
- Planning social media content and promotional activity
- Provide input on campaign performance and enquiry quality
- Identify opportunities to improve lead generation channels
Sales Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor enquiry volumes, conversion rates, and revenue performance
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports
- Track lead sources and marketing effectiveness
- Provide forecasting and pipeline visibility to management
- Identify opportunities to increase average event value and conversion rates
Event Coordination Support
- Work closely with Operations Manager to ensure smooth delivery of confirmed events
- Provide detailed event briefs and client requirements
- Ensure alignment between sold product and operational delivery
Person Specification Essential
- Strong background in hotel sales or event sales
- Experience managing weddings and conference enquiries
- Confident using Opera PMS
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a sales-focused environment
Desirable
- Experience with Tagvenue or venue directory platforms
- Exposure to digital marketing or Google Ads
- Knowledge of corporate sales and group bookings
- Hotel-based sales experience

- Ensure consistency of brand presentation across physical and digital sales channels.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
