Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Please note that this position will be on a rotating shift pattern of:
Mon - Fri 6am-2pm
Mon - Fri 2pm-10pm
Sun - Thurs 10pm-6am
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock effectively.
- Conduct quality control inspections on products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
- Engage in picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
- Operate forklifts safely to load and unload goods from lorries.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control tasks.
- Knowledge of stock management practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform picking and packing duties efficiently.
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory; training provided.
