Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our nursery premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all areas are hygienic and well-presented, supporting the overall wellbeing of staff and children. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of nursery rooms, play areas, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, toys, and equipment are sanitised regularly in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies
- Restock toiletries and cleaning materials as needed to ensure continuous availability
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the shift to support a hygienic environment for children and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable with a good work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to health and safety regulations
