The Role
The Bid Lead is a senior role within Lean Tree's Business Development function, responsible for owning and driving the end-to-end bid process across both private and public sector opportunities.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Bid Lead is the operational backbone of the Business Development function, ensuring that every proposal Lean Tree submits is well-governed, compelling, and delivered to the highest standard. This is not a support role; the Bid Lead takes full ownership of the bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through to submission and post-bid review.
Working closely with the Head of Business Development, the role plays a critical part in pipeline health, win rate improvement, and cross-functional coordination, bringing together Consulting, Operations, and Marketing to produce proposals that are consistently on time, on brand, and commercially sharp.
The Bid Lead also carries an element of responsibility for public and private sector relationship-building, sales support, and early pipeline activity, ensuring Lean Tree remains visible, credible, and well-positioned with the right buyers at the right time.
This role requires someone who thrives on structure, pace and accountability, who can build and maintain a bid function that runs to a clear cadence, operates without close supervision, and continuously raises the bar on conversion and quality. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the Head of Business Development and a key contributor to Lean Tree’s growth ambitions.
