We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Swindon from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and helping them to access learning in a positive and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with teaching staff and the SEN department to support students with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support
- Support students in accessing the curriculum
- Assist with personalised learning plans and interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams
- Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications beneficial but not essential
