Houghton Group is a long-established, family-run contractor delivering building, electrical and retrofit works across Essex and the South East. We are seeking an experienced self-employed Multi-Trade Operative to support our social housing programmes, working primarily within occupied properties.

Scope of Works
The role will involve delivering a high standard of workmanship across a range of responsive and planned works, including:
- Kitchen and bathroom installations (including rip-out and fit-out)
- General repairs and maintenance within occupied homes
- Basic plumbing works associated with kitchens and bathrooms
- Wall and floor tiling
- Basic plastering and making good
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Multi-Trade Operative within social housing or similar occupied environments
- Competent in kitchen and bathroom fitting from start to finish
- Ability to carry out basic plumbing, tiling and plastering to a good standard
- Own van, tools and PPE
- Valid UK driving licence
- Public Liability Insurance
- Strong communication skills and a professional, resident-focused approach
- Ability to work safely, cleanly and considerately in occupied homes

Pay: £160.00-£180.00 per day
