The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
- Support residents with all aspects of personal care while promoting dignity and independence.
- Assist with daily living activities and encourage choice and wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
- Organise and participate in meaningful recreational and therapeutic activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to behaviours that may challenge.
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the wider care team.
- Support residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in a care or support role.
- Previous experience supporting older adults, ideally within a dementia care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- An Enhanced DBS check (paid for by Lilac Alliance).
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
