We are a family running a private Personal Health Budget for a child with complex medical needs in Oakley, Hampshire and are looking for new members of staff wanting to work in a home environment.
With this opportunity we are looking for carers who are looking for nightshift roles, whether it be part-time or full-time.
This covers 3 nightshifts per week (between Sunday-Friday) from 10pm until 8am.
A job with a Personal Health Budget family is different
- £14.00-£17 per hour basic wage,
- DBS cost covered
- Full time or part time, employed permanent role
- Guaranteed hours available - 30 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up more hours on a flexible basis (weekends/school holidays).
- Driving license - bus routes to Oakley do not operate past 8pm (10pm shift start) so the successful candidate would need to have own transport to get to the property.
- No uniforms – we do not wear uniforms because we want you to feel like part of the family.
- Familiarity is key to both our son and you, so we provide a supportive environment for these relationships to be successful.
- No local client runs – all care and support take part in a home environment, reducing rushing & travelling between different clients in a typical agency role.
- Training and career development are extremely important to us, so we give you full hands-on training and shadowing with parents and other team members until you are competence and confident. Additional online and in-person training is also given on a regular and annual basis to ensure your skills are kept up to date.
- Other benefits include paid holidays, company pension and discretionary bonuses
- Experience of medical procedures including ventilators, tracheostomy care and PEG feeding would be extremely useful but not essential as full training given. If you are an experienced carer, the in-house induction training program can be tailored around you.
- No medical experience - Don't worry, inexperienced carers will receive full induction / training. You will shadow one of our experienced members that will introduce you to the role and will make you feel comfortable to take on this new challenge.
