Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join Southcare Homes Group. This is a 24 hours a week, 12 month fixed contract (with review at end of term) with the view to provide overtime by arrangement. The successful candidate will be covering annual leave in our 3 nursing homes in Rottingdean, Seaford and Bexhill, so own transport is essential.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support care planning, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your leadership skills and nursing expertise in a dynamic clinical environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established care plans and clinical guidelines
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform clinical assessments with precision and compassion
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans tailored to patient needs
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff and healthcare assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clarity of care procedures and updates
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Assist in training programmes for new staff or interns, promoting best practices in nursing care
- Ensure infection control protocols are adhered to consistently across all areas of practice
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or relevant regulatory body
- Proven experience in a clinical nursing environment, demonstrating strong leadership qualities
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and empathetically
- Strong organisational skills with effective time management to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Ability to develop and manage personalised care plans based on individual patient assessments
Pay: £23.50-£24.00 per hour
