Research Fellow (Energy Economics, Environmental Economics and Policy)
Salary from £53,949 to £62,160 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £69,073 pa inclusive of London allowance
Funding is available to support this position for one year
The Global School of Sustainability (GSoS) is a major new interdisciplinary hub for sustainability research and impact at LSE. We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow with expertise in Energy, Environmental Economics and Policy for a one-year period to contribute to our emerging research programme on the energy transition. The role-holder will play a role in the planning, design, and implementation of a programme of research work in this area and will be expected to author and/or co-author research or policy outputs accordingly.
Essential criteria include: Expertise and research interests in Energy, Environmental Economics and Public Policy with a particular interest in the energy transition; A completed PhD in energy and environmental economics or related fields with relevant expertise in the energy transition and sustainability/sustainable growth; significant experience of conducting economics energy research in South Asia; the ability to publish in top journals in energy economics and related fields; a very good knowledge of the application of social science to policy making.
