Secondary School Teaching Assistant - Sunderland
Shape a Life have partnered with a fantastic secondary school in Sunderland who are seeking a dedicated graduate teaching assistant to join their team in September 2026. We are looking for graduates who are enthusiastic, passionate and committed to helping make a difference in the lives of young children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide teaching support in small groups and with individual pupils.
- To assist with the general pastoral care of students
- Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
- Actively encourage the inclusion of all students to participate in the life and activities of the school.
- Support the teacher with monitoring progress.
- Assisting in the planning and learning activities.
- Support pupils with their educational and social development by modelling positive behaviour and demonstrating high expectations.
- Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils

You will need:
- Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in secondary school education ideally.
- Degree - 2:2 or above. English, math's, science or psychology, ideally.
