Position: Live-In Carer

We are currently looking for an experienced and caring Live-In Carer to support clients with different needs. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, helping our clients live with dignity and as independently as possible.
Position Overview:
This position is for a Live-In Carer who will work on a 2-week on/2-week off schedule. You will provide specialised care to clients that require full assistance. While you will be living with the client for two weeks at a time, you will have two weeks off, allowing you a good work-life balance.
About the Client:
Our client has complex needs, including:
- Limited Mobility: The client has weakness on the right side of their body, and they are fully dependent on a wheelchair and hoisting for transfers.
- Muscle Stiffness: There is increased stiffness in all limbs, especially in the legs.
- Assistance with Daily Tasks: The client needs help with personal care, mobility, and daily activities.
- Incontinence: Assistance with both bladder and bowel care is required.
- Cognitive Challenges: The client has some difficulties with memory, focus, problem-solving, and communication.
- Temperature Sensitivity: The client has difficulty regulating their body temperature.
- Health Management: The client is prone to constipation and needs support with bowel care and health monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised care, ensuring the client’s physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility.
- Support with medical tasks such as medication management and physical therapy.
- Monitor the client’s health, recording any changes or concerns.
- Offer emotional support and engaging conversation to encourage mental well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring the client’s nutritional needs are met.
- Help with transfers, using hoisting equipment as needed, to ensure comfort and safety.
- Communicate with the care team and family, keeping everyone informed of any changes in the client’s condition.
