Position: Engineering Administrator
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Part Time – 25 hours per week
Shift: Flexible Days (to be agreed)
Location: Telford
We are currently looking for an Engineering Administrator to join our client’s dedicated engineering team within a busy bus company operation. This role will support the day-to-day administration of the engineering function, ensuring all maintenance records, compliance documentation, and workshop processes are accurately maintained and efficiently managed.
Engineering Administrator Required Qualifications:
· Previous administration experience within an engineering, fleet, transport, automotive, or similar environment
· Excellent organisational and communication skills
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
· Experience using fleet maintenance or workshop management systems would be advantageous
· Understanding of vehicle compliance and maintenance documentation is desirable
Engineering Administrator Main Duties:
· Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records for the bus fleet
· Process job cards, defect reports, and inspection sheets in a timely and accurate manner
· Schedule and track vehicle servicing, MOTs, safety inspections, and compliance checks
· Update fleet management systems with maintenance and repair information
· Assist with ordering parts and maintaining stock and inventory records where required
· Produce reports and KPI data for engineering and operational management
· Liaise with workshop staff, suppliers, and operational teams to ensure fleet availability and compliance
· Support the Engineering Manager with general administrative duties and document control
