We are seeking a full-time Insurance Administrator to join a niche insurance office based in Sherborne.

This is a full-time position. The role offers 25 days’ paid holiday plus Bank Holidays, along with a discretionary annual bonus. Office hours are 9.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.
You will be working within a small and very friendly team, carrying out a range of routine office duties. This includes:-
Creating, uploading and entering client data being recorded accurately on excel spreadsheets.
Preparing and issuing insurance schedules using mail merge.
You will need to be well organised, able to manage several tasks at once and plan ahead to meet deadlines with good attention to detail and the ability to handle information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
The role also involves handling telephone calls from solicitors and HR professionals, as well as processing standard documentation across a variety of insurance products.
We value reliability and accuracy over speed, along with a friendly and professional telephone manner and a helpful attitude towards both colleagues and clients.
Candidates must have recent office experience, be familiar using a desktop computer, possess good keyboard skills and have prior working knowledge of email and mail-merge. In addition we require a person who is competent in using Excel and electronic office systems.
Previous insurance experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
Applicants must be local to Sherborne. Please note that while the office is modern and spacious, it is located on the first floor of a converted older building and is accessed via steep stairs.
Summary
As an Office Administrator you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, reporting directly to the Office Manager. You will use your administrative skills and experience to manage daily tasks efficiently and effectively.
