Job role: FLT Counterbalance Driver
Location: Birmingham
The hours of work are:
Monday to Friday 22.00pm-06.00am
Salary: £16.32 per hour
THOMAS Recruitment is extremely excited to be exclusively partnering with our client based in Birmingham, providing them with the best talent. We are seeking an experienced and committed FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our team on a long-term basis
The role requires a certain amount of fitness as it involves 80% order picking of exhaust systems to sequence for just in time supply to the JLR production plant. This a 2 man lift operation with the exhaust systems weighing up to 40kg. The remaining 20% is forklift-based work, moving completed sequence stillages, replenishing the sequence cell etc.
The applicants must have a current licence to operate a counterbalance forklift truck.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to load and unload vehicles.
- Maintain good safety practices when operating a forklift.
- Operate a forklift according to set safety guidelines.
- Be knowledgeable of forklift safety guidelines.
- Operate a forklift according to company policy and procedures.
- Be able to lift and move objects on the job.
Could this be you?
- You will have some experience as a warehouse operative as this would be advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided
- You can read work instructions (English)
- You have excellent communications skills (English)
- You have the flexibility to assist with business needs
- You can adhere to health and safety policies
- You will have an eye for detail
- You are respectful to all colleagues
