Full job description:
A small home based childcare setting, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, providing high quality care for children over 8 months.
My setting has a clear vision using a Montessori approach to learning following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
My curriculum is for children to become curious, kind and independent learners by the time they leave the setting.
The setting can care for up to 12 children per day.
Requirements:
* Childcare qualification required
* First aid certificate ideally
* DBS check
* Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
* Organised and able to multitask in a dynamic environment
* Patient, caring, and nurturing approach
* Reliable, responsible, and proactive
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Full UK Driving licence
* Working under pressure
Key responsibilities:
* Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that support their development
* Plan and assist with play-based learning and early education activities
* Support children with routines including dressing, toileting, naps, and transitions
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment
* Follow safeguarding and safety procedures at all times
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and well-being
* Encourage positive behaviour, good manners, and social development
* Take initiative with daily tasks such as setting up activities or attending to children’s needs
* Key person role of atleast 4 children, identifying next steps and record termly
