Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team, with an immediate start available. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using both power and hand tools. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for assembling and fabricating components to meet project specifications while ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment, including MIG welding techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements.
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and join materials effectively.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid welding certification is preferred but not essential.
