We are seeking a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and inclusive primary school from September on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong classroom experience and up-to-date knowledge of the UK primary curriculum, who is confident supporting and leading learning across the school, particularly within Upper Key Stage 2.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver planned lessons and lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teacher
- Provide high-quality intervention teaching, with a particular focus on raising attainment in Upper Key Stage 2
- Support teaching and learning across the primary age range as required
- Work closely with class teachers to plan, deliver, and assess targeted learning support
- Support pupils with a range of needs, ensuring progress and engagement for all learners
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working at an advanced level within a primary school setting with class teaching experience
- Strong, up-to-date understanding of the UK National Curriculum
- Recent and relevant classroom experience in a primary school
- Proven ability to deliver effective intervention programmes, particularly in Upper Key Stage 2
- Confidence in leading whole-class learning when required
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- A commitment to high expectations and pupil progress
