We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join our Acute Mental Health Inpatient Ward. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about working psychologically and keen to develop experience within a dynamic inpatient setting.
As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work closely with qualified Clinical Psychologists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality, psychologically informed care. You will contribute to assessment, formulation, and intervention for adults experiencing acute mental health difficulties.
This post offers excellent exposure to inpatient psychology, MDT working, and evidence-based practice, making it a valuable developmental role for those considering further training in clinical psychology or related professions.
Support psychological assessments, outcome measures, and care planning
Assist in the delivery of individual and group-based psychological interventions under supervision
Contribute to formulation-led MDT discussions
Support service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement work
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Trust policies
Promote psychologically informed and compassionate care on the ward
