We're working with a growing insurance broker that is investing heavily in its Manchester operation and looking to appoint a Development Executive to support its continued expansion.
This role offers the opportunity to join an ambitious team at an exciting stage of growth, helping to establish and develop the office's presence in the local market whilst benefiting from the backing, resources, and stability of a larger national organisation.
The Opportunity
This position is focused on generating and developing new business opportunities across the commercial insurance market.
You'll be responsible for building relationships with prospective clients, networking within the local business community, identifying opportunities, and working alongside experienced broking professionals to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
Whether you're currently in a New Business, Development Executive, Account Executive, or Commercial Broking role and enjoy the prospecting side of the job, this could be an excellent next step.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new commercial insurance opportunities
- Build relationships with prospective clients across a variety of sectors
- Attend networking events and develop referral partnerships
- Identify opportunities within existing networks and market contacts
- Conduct client meetings and fact-finding discussions
- Work closely with broking colleagues to secure suitable insurance solutions
- Develop a pipeline of prospects and manage opportunities through to conversion
- Maintain accurate records and activity through CRM systems
About You
- Previous experience within commercial insurance
- Experience in a Development Executive, Account Executive, New Business, Account Handler, Broker, or similar role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach
- Comfortable engaging with business owners and decision-makers
- Motivated by building relationships and developing opportunities
- Driven, ambitious, and keen to be part of a growing business
