Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and utensils
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Support the team in maintaining a positive and efficient working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation
- Previous experience in a culinary role or restaurant environment is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary
