Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to residents in our residential home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with experience in managing operations and leading teams. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Supervise staff members, providing training and support to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Manage resident admissions and discharges, coordinating with families and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor resident health and well-being, administering medication as required and responding to any changes in condition.
- Foster a positive environment for residents by promoting social engagement and community activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and improve resident outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records related to resident care, staff performance, and facility operations.
- Assist with budgeting and financial management to ensure efficient use of resources.
Experience
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments is essential.
- Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or experience in memory care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervisory experience in long-term care or home & community care settings.
- Familiarity with operations management principles including budgeting and financial acumen.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development is required.
