Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant – Bournemouth
Are you a Sports Coach looking to take your skills into the classroom? We are working with primary and secondary schools across Bournemouth that are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Sports Coaches to work as Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis.
Working Monday to Friday from 8:30am–3:30pm, these long-term roles offer daily pay between £92 and £100, with many schools looking to offer permanent contracts to successful candidates.
Your coaching experience will be invaluable in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You'll help deliver engaging activities, promote positive behaviour, and encourage pupils to develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Many of the roles involve supporting children with additional needs, making patience, adaptability, and strong relationship-building skills essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in lessons and around the school
- Leading or assisting with sports and physical activities
- Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Supporting pupils with SEND where required
Requirements:
- Experience coaching children or young people
- A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine interest in working within education
