We are looking for an experienced Non-Working Site Foreman for a new build site in Slough.
This is an 8-month role paying £280 per day. Site parking facilities are available.
The role is site-based and will involve supervising carpentry works, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, fully snagged, and properly recorded.
The site is mainly 1st fix, 2nd fix and final fix carpentry, with several carpenters working on price work only. Your role will be to make sure all price work is completed properly, snagged to 100%, and that fire doors are logged correctly in line with current fire door requirements.
You will also be expected to keep the site clean and tidy at all times, plan ahead for materials, and coordinate with other trades to make sure our carpenters can start and complete their works without delays.
Main Duties:
- Supervising carpentry works on a new build site
- Managing 1st fix, 2nd fix and final fix carpentry packages
- Ensuring all price work is completed correctly and fully snagged
- Checking quality of work before sign-off
- Ensuring fire doors are logged and recorded correctly
- Planning ahead for materials
- Coordinating with other trades so carpenters can complete their works efficiently
- Keeping the site clean, tidy and organised at all times
- Reporting progress and any site issues clearly
- Ensuring works are completed safely and to programme
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
- Valid CSCS card
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Experience working on new build sites
- Experience supervising carpentry works
- Ideally a carpentry background
- Experience with fire door logging / fire door records
- Good understanding of 1st fix, 2nd fix and final fix carpentry
- Ability to manage price work carpenters and ensure quality standards are met
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Ability to plan ahead for materials and coordinate with other trades
