Drayton Motors Bolton is looking for a qualified MOT Tester to join our busy and growing aftersales team. Working within a modern dealership environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards of safety and roadworthiness while delivering excellent customer service.
£2,000 Joining Bonus
- £1,000 after 3 months of continuous employment
- £1,000 after 6 months and successful completion of probation
The Role
As an MOT Tester, you'll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections in line with DVSA standards, identifying defects, and ensuring all vehicles are tested accurately and efficiently. You'll work closely with our workshop team to maintain high levels of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Identify and report vehicle defects accurately
- Ensure all MOT documentation is completed correctly
- Maintain high standards of workshop safety and housekeeping
- Liaise with Technicians and Service Advisors regarding vehicle requirements
- Deliver a professional and efficient service to customers
- Support workshop activities where required
About You
- Valid MOT Tester Licence
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
