We’re looking for a Campsite Assistant to work at Gupton Farm Campsite at Freshwater West. This role is all about making sure that people have their best possible experience of an outdoor holiday with the National Trust. Internally, you will be known as an 'Outdoors Holidays Operation Assistant'.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract Duration: Fixed term until 5th October 2026
Contract Type: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays, but does not require evening or split shifts.

What you'll be doing:You’ll help to keep the campsite clean, well-maintained and welcoming for all guests. This includes practical tasks like cleaning, basic maintenance and grounds keeping, reporting any repairs needed, and generally being a friendly contact for everyone staying here.
You’ll also be greeting campsite guests, helping with their bookings, dealing with enquiries or complaints, helping to run the campsite shop, as well as other administrative tasks. Everything you do day-to-day will make a big difference to someone’s holiday, and help to make things run smoothly and to the standard that guests expect from the National Trust.
