Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess strong communication skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish on various projects. The Painter will work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Drive to various job sites as required for different painting projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A valid driving licence is required to travel to job sites.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
