We are looking for Support Workers who can adapt their approach to meet individual needs and work flexibly across different settings.
The role
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a team providing tailored support to adults with a range of needs. The aim of the role is to help people live fulfilling lives, make their own choices, and stay connected with their communities.
You will support with:
- Daily living tasks, personal care, and emotional wellbeing
- Building independence through routines and activities
- Community access and social inclusion
- Cooking, cleaning, shopping, and household tasks
- Supporting people during times of distress or challenging behaviour in a calm and compassionate way
- Keeping accurate records, care plans, and shift notes
- Attending appointments, outings, and activities
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
- Reporting concerns and safeguarding issues
- Working with families and professionals
- Ongoing training and development
Shift pattern
- Permanent roles available
- Day shifts and waking night shifts
- Weekend and bank holiday working required
- Flexibility needed depending on service requirements
About you
We are looking for people who:
- Have experience supporting people with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours that challenge
- Are comfortable providing personal care and emotional support
- Can stay calm and confident when supporting complex needs
- Understand safeguarding and the importance of safe working practices
- Communicate clearly and keep accurate records
- Are willing to take part in training and development
- Are flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different situations
- Are kind, patient, and person-centred in their approach
- Ideally hold or are working towards a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification
