Gough Electrical is a long-established electrical wholesaler supplying electricians, contractors, tradespeople and local businesses across North Wales.
We are looking for a reliable and practical person to support our small team with local deliveries, warehouse duties and staff holiday cover.
This is not a standard five-day-a-week position. The hours will vary throughout the year and will mainly cover planned staff holidays, sickness and busier periods.
The role may suit someone looking for flexible, practical local work rather than a conventional full-time position.
Working pattern
The role provides approximately 500 working hours per year.
Most shifts will be full weekdays, normally between 8:15am and 5:15pm, and will be planned in advance around staff holidays.
There may also be occasional Saturday mornings and additional shifts offered at shorter notice.
The working pattern will not necessarily be the same every week.
Main responsibilities
* Making local customer deliveries using the company vehicle
* Loading and unloading goods safely
* Checking orders before delivery
* Obtaining delivery confirmation where required
* Receiving and putting away supplier deliveries
* Picking and preparing customer orders
* Keeping the warehouse organised, safe and tidy
* Assisting at the trade counter after training
* Supporting stocktakes and stock-control work
* Helping the wider team as required
About you
You should be:
* Reliable and punctual
* A safe and responsible driver
* Comfortable dealing with trade customers
* Practical and organised
* Able to work independently
* Willing to assist with warehouse duties
Essential requirements
* Full UK manual driving licence
* Right to work in the United Kingdom
* Ability to safely undertake the loading, unloading and handling required by the role
Experience in electrical wholesale, builders’ merchants, deliveries, warehousing, plumbing and heating, logistics or a trade environment would be useful but is not essential.
Full training will be provided.
