Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured for transport.
- Deliver products to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during the process.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes.
- Have experience using trailers & towing vehicles
- Must be willing to tow company trailers, driver card needed
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, particularly in a commercial driving capacity.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous, including experience in heavy lifting and handling various types of goods.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
