Job Alert! Need a delivery driver Delivering parcels in your own van you will be delivering on a self employed courier basis with our support and guidance.
- 07:00 start until tasks complete (approximately 17:00 - 17:30).
- Every Monday to Friday.
- Paid per delivery and collection.
- You will deliver and collect from approximately 90 - 130 destinations per day within same area/ Postcode)
- Route automatically sorted into an economical delivery sequence.
- Uniform to be worn. (DPD Uniform)
- Training in our system and procedures provided and paid.

Delivering parcels in the Harrow, London area.
You’ll enjoy plenty of variety in an active and customer facing role. You’ll become a member of a supportive team that works together to create an unbeatable service. Specifically this will involve,
- Loading, unloading, and operating your own van.
- Locating and driving to various addresses.
- Delivering parcels on time with the use of our PDA/ barcode scanner.
You will need:
- A valid UK driving licence.
- DBS.
- Mobile phone with internet data.
- Right to work
- National insurance number
- Have good time management skills and meet delivery deadlines.
- Your own LWB van (Less than 8 years old) -Our van can be provided but the payment will vary.
- Hire and reward Insurance (If using our van the insurance is included)
- Goods In Transit insurance and Public Liability. (If using our van the insurance is included)
- Present yourself in a calm and professional manner to customers and members of the public.
Duties
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Follow planned routes accurately, adhering to delivery schedules and traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients and the dispatch team regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Familiarity with route planning software or GPS systems is preferred
