FLT Counterbalance Driver – Animal Feed & Flour Production
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT DUE TO LOCATION
Location: Northampton, NN7
Hours: 7am - anywhere between 7am-7pm (Must be flexible) (55-60hr Weeks + Every other Weekend)
Salary: £14ph
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to support our busy animal feed and flour production facility. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, safety, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Counterbalance FLT to move raw materials, finished feed, flour bags, and bulk products
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring correct handling of animal feed and flour goods
- Pack products safely and to company standards
- Prepare orders for dispatch
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with safety rules
- Transport materials between production, storage, and dispatch areas
- Complete stock movement tasks, including palletising and wrapping as required
- Conduct daily forklift checks and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain cleanliness and follow strict hygiene standards, especially around food-grade products
- Support production and warehouse teams to meet operational targets
Requirements:
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in dusty or high-volume production environments
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
