A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Southend-on-Sea is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an ECT looking to begin their teaching career within a supportive department, or an experienced teacher seeking a new challenge within a well-established Maths faculty.
The school would particularly welcome candidates with Key Stage 5 teaching experience or the ability/desire to teach A-Level Mathematics, although this is not essential.
The Role
- Teaching Mathematics across KS3–KS5
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
- Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes
- Working collaboratively within a supportive Maths department
- Contributing to intervention, enrichment, and curriculum development opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or is completing teacher training leading to QTS
- Passionate about Mathematics education
- Strong behaviour management and classroom practice
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
- KS5 experience would be advantageous
- ECTs encouraged to apply
