Lekker is a Dutch-inspired café and brunch brand. The idea behind it is pretty simple: great food and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand. We're not a chain and we have no interest in becoming one. We're a small, ambitious team building something we're proud of; good food, warm service, a space people actually want to return to.
We're growing, and we need the right person to take the lead at our Manchester location.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position. You'll be running the café day to day; the team, the floor, the numbers, the guest experience. You'll report directly to the founders and have real ownership over how the location operates.
If you're someone who manages from the back office, this probably isn't for you. You'll be in the middle of service, leading from the front.
What the job involves
Running operations from open to close, leading and developing your front-of-house team, working closely with the kitchen to keep quality high and service moving, stock management and ordering, till reconciliation on Toast POS, weekly reporting to the partners, and building a team culture that people actually want to be part of.
What we're looking for
At least 3 years managing a restaurant or café at a similar level. This is a must. We need someone who has done this before and can step in without needing their hand held. You'll know your way around labour cost, food cost and covers. You'll have worked with a POS system before. More than anything, you'll be the kind of person who stays calm when it's busy, makes decisions quickly, and genuinely cares about the experience guests have when they walk through the door.
