Overview
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible Summer Camp Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of fun, engaging, and safe activities for children throughout the summer programme. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's experiences while developing valuable teamwork and leadership skills. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working with children in an active and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and delivery of daily camp activities, games, and workshops
- Supervise and engage with children to ensure they have a fun and safe experience
- Support Camp Leaders with activity preparation and group management
- Encourage teamwork, participation, and positive behaviour among campers
- Assist with registration, attendance, and general administrative tasks
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe camp environment
- Provide support to children with varying needs and abilities where required
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and camp policies at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the camp
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience working with children in schools, clubs, camps, or similar settings is desirable
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organised, and able to adapt to different situations
- Ability to remain calm and responsible in a busy environment
- Awareness of safeguarding and child welfare practices is desirable
- First Aid certification is beneficial but not essential
- Passion for creating a fun, inclusive, and memorable experience for children
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
