Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Experience in Trailer/Lorry fabrication/repair/mechanical work would be a major advantage for applicants!
Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures
- Conduct quality checks to ensure welds meet industry standards and project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Read technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication and assembly tasks
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG Wekding
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Solid knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and structural components
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments
- Experience in assembly work is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Previous experience working with various metals and materials is advantageous
